The Empire State
November 9th, 1931.
The Empire State Building has been open for six months… and yet, most of its floors lie empty. The locals joke about it – the Empty State Building, they call it – and the officials and the bigwigs say its just the Depression keeping the offices empty.
But, the residents of Hooverville know better. They know that man was never meant to scrape the sky… because, now, the sky is scraping back.
You, and the rest of your group, are on a late-night guided tour of the tower's highest observation deck when lightning strikes the mast and shuts down the only elevator as well as most of the lights and other electrical systems. It's 102 floors to the bottom – and you're not convinced that you're entirely alone in here.
